    Creating a Research Profile Online on myResearchSpace

    To do this, you can use Blog Pages. A blog page is like a blog post except they don’t normally feature in your posting list.

    1.       Click on Control Panel and go to Manage ‘Joe Blogs’ Blog’

    2.       Create a new page(s). For your profile, you could create 2-3 pages. One that is ‘About Joe Blogs’ which could follow the FNAS template or could just have a picture, short description of yourself and your research work and contact details (It is also a good idea to Tag your profile – a subject of another blog). The other page could be your CV. If you have publications and/or grants, a third page could be the list of publications and grants.

    3.       Create links for the pages in the description of your blog. Again in the Manage Blog section select Title, Description, and News under Global Settings. In the description, you can use code like the following (the actual links will depend on your pages – to get the link, you can view the page:

    <br />

    <br />

    <h4>About Joe Blogs</h4>

    <ul>

    <li><a  href="http://myresearchspace.grs.uwa.edu.au/blogs/joeblogsblog/pages/profile.aspx">PROFILE</a></li>

    <li><a href="http://myresearchspace.grs.uwa.edu.au/blogs/ joeblogsblog /pages/joe-blogs-curriculum-vitae.aspx">CV</a></li>

    </ul>

    A simpler way of linking to the pages above would be to create a List Category and then add the links as list items. This then appears in the side of your blog page but usually lower down.
