About theEzone
Each year UWA sends out for examination about 300 research theses. Each
PhD thesis has three examiners, and each Masters thesis two. All of
these examiners' reports are read by all members of the
Board of the Graduate Research School, and it is the Board that makes the final classification. Thus, the examiners report to the Board.
This database of examiners' reports is a wonderfully rich resource,
full of insights into how they examine, what they look for, what they
care about, and indeed what they believe research training should
involve.
theEzone aims to display, in an anonymous fashion for both the candidate and the examiner, some of these insights.
