The whole saga really angers me. As far as I can tell, the man's "crime" is providing a SIM card with a bit of extra credit left to a cousin almost a year before any terror activities took place - and without the SIM card being used to necessarily commit or plan any such acts either. Visa revoked, access to lawyers made exceptionally difficult, declared by government representatives to be of poor character - all after a judge granted bail. Because you know, they hand those out willy-nilly to terror suspects.
I thought I'd managed to lose my faith in the government entirely because of this. Then I remembered David Hicks, Vivian Solon, Cornelia Rau, Mamdouh Habib and "we don't want those people here because they throw their children overboard" - and I realised that had happened a long, long time ago.
