God, grammar and meme

Drawing inspiration from Karen, I'll meme today as well. Although this one is from munkey - if you don't limit yourself to just one word-answers you can spend a lot more time on it... :-)

***

1. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing you thought?
(I don't think in the mornings)

2. Favourite planet?
Pluto. I don't care what anyone says. I miss Pluto.

3. Who is the 4th person on your missed call list on your cell phone?
To answer truthfully would require me to go and get the mobile and check. Let's just pretend it was you.

4. What is your favorite ring tone on your phone?
I haven't actually played around with ringtones much... My old phone had Hungarian Dance no.5, though. That was pretty impressive.

5. Do you “label” yourself?
I suppose... when I was little I used to collect price tags and stick them on my arms and legs and face. So I not only labeled but also priced myself. Material world, and all that.

6. What does your watch look like?
I don't have one at the moment. Lost one in the Arts block a couple of months ago and have failed to buy a replacement. Having lived watch-free for this time they all seem so... oppressive.

7. What were you doing at midnight last night?
Trying to sleep.

8. What did your last text message you received on your cell say?
Again, the checking and the truth... Let's say it was my sister, and she told me not to forget the pineapples.

9. What's a word that you say a lot?
",but..."

10. Last furry thing you touched?
The chair covers at Ben's parents' place. I gave them werewolf faces. (We were watching Van Helsing)

11. Favorite age you have been so far?
Six was pretty good. So was 17. And 21.

12. Your worst enemy?
Dr Evil. Oh, and terrorism.

13. What is your current desktop picture?
Our engagement photo with the artfully coloured in red shoes. *Heart* the red shoes. And the man.

14. What was the last thing you said to someone?
"Thanks"

15. If you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to fly what would it be?
Flying in the instantaneous, being-able-to-defy-gravity-at-will- sort of flying, or the that-way-to-the-nearest-pilot-school- sort of flying? If the former, I'll go with that. If the latter - well, I don't think even ex-epileptics are allowed to fly planes, so I'd take the money, thankyouverymuch.

16. Do you like someone?
Why of course.

17. The last song you listened to?
Ajetaan me tandemilla. Best song ever for walking down the street eating an ice cream!

18. What time of day were you born?
Who would know something like that? Probably around 10am, because I still have trouble getting up before then. (I was a C-baby)

19. What's your favourite number?
Seven and Nine. But not in a media mogul- kinda way.

20. Where did you live in 1987?
In Desa Kuda Lari in Kuala Lumpur.

21. Are you jealous of anyone?
Always..

22. Is anyone jealous of you?
I don't know. If you are, confess.

23. Where were you when 9/11 happened?
At home at my parents' house, not doing anything in particular.

24. Do you consider yourself kind?
Yep.

25. If you had to get a tattoo, where would it be?
Can't imagine having one (or being forced to get one!) - maybe my back if I didn't already have a pretty good birthmark there.

26. If you could be fluent in any other language, what would it be?
Choose only one? Never! French, German, Swedish, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Auslan and Hindi.

27. Would you move for the person you loved?
I sort of already have. Although "refrained from moving" would be more accurate.

28. What's your life motto?
Will an anthem do? "Fat bottomed girls, you make the rocking world go 'round..."

29. What's your favourite town/city?
I don't really know... Although I do have a romantic fascination with the never-visited Quebec.

30. When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper and mailed it?
Wrote the letter a while back, mailed it today.

31. Can you change the oil on a car?
No.

32. Your first love: what is the last thing you heard from or about him/her?
"See you tonight"

33. How far back do you know about your ancestry?
Certain branches to about 1570,  others only a couple of generations back. Apparantly one of my ancestors was a Sami witch or shaman, and despite the dubious nature of some of the sources it's a story I think I'll stick to.

34. The last time you dressed fancy, what did you wear and why did you dress fancy?
Did the bridesmaidy thing weekend before last. White silk, bouquet, new shoes...That was pretty fancy.

35. Have you been burned by love?
Not really. Although I have been by a toaster.

Maybe I should just replace all my own blogging with "Overheard in New York" quotes:

Blonde Teen: So I'm taking that religion class.

Brunette Teen: Oh yeah? The one where you read the Bible right?

Blonde teen: Yeah that one. And get this, we are about to start reading the Book of Proverbs.

Brunette Teen: Oh My God! I didn't know the Bible had a grammar section.

Blonde Teen: Me neither!!

Brunette Teen: Oh man, I bet it totally tells you how to speak like God... Except properly, you know?

Blonde Teen: [Gasp] I bet it totally does.

Brunette Teen: Ugh! I wish I had taken that class.
