Cutting to the Chase
There have been a few changes in my writing style that I have noticed as a result of doing the half hour daily sessions:
- it is a bit more 'bitty': some of the transitions and flow of the argument will need work.
- I'm drawing more heavily on work I have already done (as in picking up the ideas and theories raised earlier in the thesis). I think this is because I don't have time to distract myself with new theory and ideas. Given I'm working on the last section of the thesis, this drawing together isn't a bad thing.
- I've become a more decisive writer - less 'this suggests', 'it can be argued'. This isn't because I am more confident. I just don't have time and can't be bothered to stuff around like that.
