Manly Chores
This weekend I am going to be manly.
'Manly' translates as doing all the gardening chores that my dad would do if he was around (in a family of girls, demarcations of chores based on gender tends to be rather illusory). So I will be:
buying reticulation hose and replacing the section eaten by the dog
buying fencing wire and fencing off a section of the garden to expand the vege patch
mowing the lawn and putting soil wetter on it
mulching the garden beds ready for summer
venturing into the roof and getting down the Christmas tree
Hmm, with the current weather forecasts I should try and get up early to get all this done before it gets too hot. And hopefully I won't end up listening to the cricket and really turning into my dad!
