Blogging boosts your social life (sex life and research capability?): research

An ABC story reports that blogging can help you feel less isolated, more connected to a community and more satisfied with your friendships, both online and face-to-face, new Australian research has found (I added the bit about sex and research).

I do find the frequent assertion that Internet/computer use leads to isolated individuals and fractured communiites a bit frustrating. It's nice seeing research like this, and the many ways in which online and offline spaces interact.

Did you read Jane McGonall's piece on 'Why I Like Bees'? It was one of the most delightful papers I have ever read.
